Career 

Norm McDonald’s first performance in comedy began at stand-up clubs in Ottawa. Following one appearance at a comedy festival in 1986, he was voted as “One of this country’s hottest comics”. 

In 1993, MacDonald joined the cast of NBC’s Saturday Night Live where he made impressions of Burt Reynolds, Larry King, David Letterman, Charles Kuralt, Quentin Tarantino, and Bob Dole. After leaving the SNL, he co-wrote and starred in the comedy movie ‘Dirty Work’. 

Throughout his career, he continued to make appearances in films and television shows. Between the years 2009 and 2010, he became a frequent guest on ‘The Tonight Show with Conan O’Brien’.
